THE
Mid-Ohio-Con 2002
2002 Convention

Mid-Ohio has always been one of my favorite conventions because the environment is Dealer and Small press friendly. This year would have been equally as wonderful as previous years, but the weather kinda destroyed the Sunday of the show. There was literally no one around. But that's OK, I was happy to sit and draw and meet with other artists' writers and ccreators.
Here's a few of the pictures I took and a story or two to go along with them.
ENJOY!

Here I am with fellow aritst and creator Jose Roberto Mesarina, he was kind enough to create a pin-up of Crash and Rummble along with his own character Laundry Detergent Man. Go and check out the pin-up in the galleries section

Here we have Ian and Kathy Shires, the proud owners of each other's hearts AND Dimestore Productions as well. When I took this picture, Ian was saying, "I DID NOT pull the Fire Alarm". and I swear to GOD, Kathy was thinking, "yeah right Ian". If you go to the Links page right here on Rummblestrips.com, you can visit their site and check out the talent that they support through Dimestore AND the Small Press Association. Hey, they also distribute Rummblestrips so they will forever be in my good book of good people who are very good to me. That is a good thing.

Speaking of Good, Here is my new best friend Jacqui. She is the very talented writer behind the Kouseki series which you can go and check out as well if you go to the links page. Just click on the INSOMNIAC MACHINE link and see the talent that is Jacqui More! In this picture we are both wearing the Rummblestrips t-shirt #1 featuring Crash yelling "HEY! GET YOUR OWN PAIR!" You will be seeing this t-shirt at a bar in the Boston area as the owner of one of the downtown bars deceide that his waitresses would look perfect in this t-shirt. I can see big tips coming their way!!! To get your copy of this t, just go to the Purchase page, and GET YOUR OWN!

Here I am with Kermit the Frog. The silly guys from Digital Webbing were taking good ol' Kermy around to all the writers and artists at Mid-Ohio and getting them to sign him. I was lucky enough to get an eyeball to sign, hehe. Check out Digital webbing by, again, going to the links section. Just look for the giant colorful spider!

Here we are again with Ian and Kathy, they had to get the heck out of there before Ian was caught for the Fire thing. . . the convention said it was a blown water sprinkler, but we know better don't we, wink, wink.

And finally, I was lucky enough to meet the coolest Super Hero there is, SUPERGIRL. This young lady here was very nice and came up to my table to say Hi. THREE YEARS earlier we took a picture together with ME in my Supergirl costume so she came and returned the favor. It was very touching and she was really sweet. Her and her brother were really nice kids, and they were having a great time at the show. I think I'll take my Suergirl costume out of hybernation for next year JUST incase I meet this little gal again! (hint hint!)

Hope you enjoyed the Convention report. The next convention I will be at is the MEGACON at the end of February in Orlando Florida. Make sure you get your tickets for the show because it is going to be HUGE! I hope to have Rummblestrips #3 ready, so cross your fingers!
On a more personal note, I just found out that my husband put a shot of Kaluha in my hot chocolate, and I haven't had any alcohol since last New Years so I better stop typing before I start to babble because when I babble I don't make a lot of sense and I don't like to not make and sense because not making sense is a bad thing and. . . . snorrrrrzzzzzzz
